To make these scrumptious Miso Caramel Brownies, you'll need: 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 3/4 cup of granulated sugar, 1/2 cup of unsalted butter (melted), 2 large eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1/4 cup of miso paste, and 1 cup of caramel sauce.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a square baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal later.
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined. Then stir in the miso paste until smooth.
Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter. Use a knife to create swirls by gently running it through the batter and caramel.
Add the remaining brownie batter on top, then drizzle the remaining caramel sauce. Swirl again with the knife for a marbled effect. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. Enjoy these delectable Miso Caramel Brownies!
