Get cracking with the kids and create cloud eggs together. It's a delicious and entertaining way to start the day!
Take note
Make sure to supervise children when using the stove or any sharp objects. Also, be cautious when handling hot items.
First things first, gather your ingredients and crack the eggs into two separate bowls. Make sure to be gentle to avoid any shell fragments. Carefully separate the egg whites from the yolks, placing each in their own bowl.
Grab a whisk or an electric mixer and start whisking the egg whites. Give it a good whisk until the whites start to form stiff peaks. This may take a few minutes, so feel free to take turns with the whisking!
At this point, you can add some extra flavor to your cloud eggs. Sprinkle in some salt, pepper, or any other seasonings you desire. Gently fold the flavorings into the whipped egg whites. Now it's time to shape your clouds! Spoon dollops of the whipped egg whites onto a baking sheet, creating cloud-like shapes with little indentations in the center for the yolks.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and carefully slide the baking sheet into the oven. Bake the clouds for about 5 minutes or until they're just beginning to turn golden. Once they're nicely baked, remove the baking sheet from the oven and carefully add the egg yolks into the indentations you made earlier.
Put the baking sheet back into the oven and let the eggs cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the yolks are cooked to your liking. Keep an eye on them so they don't overcook! Once done, carefully transfer the cloud eggs onto plates and serve them up with your choice of sides. Enjoy the fluffy goodness!
