Bring the taste of the tropics to your desserts with a delightful frothy tropical fruit foam. Take your tastebuds on a delicious vacation!
Take note
Be careful not to overwhip the foam, as it can become too thick and lose its airy texture.
Collect all the necessary items for this tropical adventure. You'll need 2 cups of assorted tropical fruits (such as pineapple, mango, and passion fruit), 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice, and 1 teaspoon of gelatin powder.
In a blender or food processor, combine the tropical fruits, sugar, and lime juice. Blend until smooth and well combined.
In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over 1/4 cup of cold water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
After blooming, place the gelatin bowl in a microwave and heat for 10 seconds until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Stir to ensure there are no lumps.
Pour the dissolved gelatin into the blender or food processor with the fruit puree. Blend again until the gelatin is fully incorporated.
Transfer the fruit mixture to a medium-sized mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, whisk the mixture on high speed until it becomes light, frothy, and forms soft peaks. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
Once the foam has reached the desired consistency, refrigerate it for at least 1 hour to set. Serve chilled on top of your favorite desserts or as a refreshing standalone treat. Enjoy!
