Collect the following ingredients: 2 slices of bread, 2 slices of cheese (cheddar or your preferred type), 2 strips of bacon, 1 tablespoon of butter
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
Take one slice of bread and spread half of the butter evenly on one side. Repeat the process with the second slice.
Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in a clean skillet over medium heat. Add a slice of cheese, followed by the cooked bacon strips, and finally, another slice of cheese. Top it off with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
Allow the sandwich to grill for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the bread turns golden brown and the cheese begins to melt. Press down gently with a spatula to encourage even cooking.
Carefully remove the sandwich from the skillet and transfer it to a plate. Let it cool for a minute, then cut diagonally if desired. Serve your breakfast grilled cheese while it's warm and enjoy the gooey goodness!
