Take your taste buds on a trip to Asia! Our tofu stir-fry recipe will transport you to the vibrant streets and exotic flavors of the East.
Take note
Handle hot pans and utensils with care to avoid burns. Make sure to use fresh and quality ingredients to enhance the flavors.
Drain the tofu and press it between paper towels or a clean dishcloth to remove excess moisture. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes and set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon of honey, and a minced garlic clove. Set the sauce aside for later.
Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the cubed tofu and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and slightly crispy. Remove the tofu from the wok and set aside.
Add another tablespoon of vegetable oil to the wok and toss in your favorite stir-fry vegetables such as bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, and snap peas. Stir-fry them for about 5 minutes or until they're tender-crisp.
Return the cooked tofu to the wok with the stir-fried vegetables. Pour the prepared sauce over the tofu and vegetables and toss everything together until well coated. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Garnish your tofu stir-fry with some toasted sesame seeds and thinly sliced green onions for an extra touch of flavor and color. Serve hot as a main dish or alongside some steamed rice for a complete meal. Get ready to be transported to the vibrant streets of Asia!
