Ignite your taste buds with our fiery salsa recipe. Add a touch of spice and a whole lot of flavor to your artisanal tacos!
Take note
Handle spicy ingredients with caution. Be aware that the level of heat in the salsa can vary depending on personal preference and the type of chili peppers used. Remember to wash your hands after handling chili peppers, and avoid touching your eyes or face.
Collect all the ingredients you'll need for your fiery salsa. You'll want to gather 4 ripe tomatoes, 1 red onion, 2 jalapeno peppers, 2 cloves of garlic, 1 lime, 1 handful of fresh cilantro, and salt to taste.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the tomatoes, red onion, jalapeno peppers, and garlic cloves on a baking sheet. Roast them in the oven for about 20 minutes or until the skins start to char. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Once cooled, peel the skin off the tomatoes and garlic cloves.
In a blender, combine the roasted tomatoes, peeled garlic cloves, red onion, jalapeno peppers (seeds removed for milder salsa), juice from the lime, and a handful of fresh cilantro. Blend until you achieve your desired consistency. Don't forget to taste along the way and add salt to your liking.
Transfer the fiery salsa into a bowl. Give it a final taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. Serve alongside your favorite tacos and watch the sparks fly! Your taste buds are in for a treat.
