Delight in a gluten-free version of Chicken Marsala recipe! All the flavors you love, minus the gluten. Perfect for a healthy and tasty meal.
Take note
Remember to check all your ingredients for hidden sources of gluten. Cross-contamination can be a concern, so be sure to use separate utensils and cookware for gluten-free cooking.
Start by tenderizing your chicken breasts. Place them between two pieces of plastic wrap and use a meat mallet or rolling pin to flatten them to an even thickness of about 1/4 inch. Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper.
In a shallow bowl, combine gluten-free all-purpose flour with a pinch of salt and pepper. Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Set aside.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender. Pour in Marsala wine and chicken broth, and bring the mixture to a simmer. Let it cook for about 5 minutes to reduce slightly.
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Serve the gluten-free Chicken Marsala with steamed vegetables or a side of gluten-free pasta for a complete meal.
