Before you embark on your flavor journey, make sure you have all the necessary ingredients on hand. You'll need 2 cups of rolled oats, 1 cup of nut butter (we recommend almond or peanut), 1/2 cup of honey or maple syrup, 1/2 cup of your choice of mix-ins (chocolate chips, dried fruit, nuts, etc.), 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, nut butter, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined and you have a sticky dough-like consistency.
This is where the fun begins! Take your base oat mixture and divide it into three equal parts. Each part will be the canvas for a different flavor adventure. Get ready to level up your taste buds!
In one part of your oat mixture, add 1/4 cup of chocolate chips and 1/4 cup of chopped nuts (we love almonds or walnuts). Mix everything together until the chocolate and nuts are evenly distributed. This is for the chocolate and nut enthusiasts out there!
In another part of your oat mixture, add 1/4 cup of your favorite dried fruits (try chopped dried cranberries or raisins) and 1/4 cup of shredded coconut. Mix everything together until the fruits and coconut are well incorporated. This one's for the fruity and tropical lovers!
For the final part of your oat mixture, add 1/4 cup of pretzel pieces and 1/4 cup of caramel chips. Mix everything together until the pretzels and caramel are evenly distributed. Get ready for a salty-sweet rollercoaster ride!
Line a baking dish with parchment paper and spread each flavored oat mixture evenly, side by side, in the dish. Press down firmly to create a solid base for your bars. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
Once baked, let the bars cool completely in the dish before slicing them into bars or squares. For an extra level up, drizzle melted chocolate over the top of each flavor. Now it's time to enjoy the fruits of your flavor adventure!
