Take note
Be careful when working with hot oil. Make sure to keep a safe distance from the heat and use a slotted spoon or tongs to handle the churros.
In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Once the butter is completely melted, remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in 1 cup of all-purpose flour until the dough comes together.
For matcha-infused churros, add 1 tablespoon of matcha powder to the dough and mix until well combined. For Nutella-filled churros, prepare a piping bag with a small round tip and fill it with Nutella.
