Get ready to oink with delight! Our Three Pigs Pecan Pie recipe will have you singing 'oink-a-doodle-doo' with every bite.
Take note
Be careful not to burn yourself when working with hot ingredients. Also, don't forget to save some pie for the three little pigs!
Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine 1 and a half cups of crushed graham crackers, 1/2 cup of melted butter, and 1/4 cup of sugar. Mix well until the mixture resembles wet sand. Press the mixture into a 9-inch pie dish, making sure to evenly distribute it along the bottom and sides. Place the crust in the oven and bake for 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
In a large bowl, whisk together 3/4 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of corn syrup, 1/4 cup of unsalted butter (melted and cooled), 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Once combined, add in 3 beaten eggs and mix until smooth. Stir in 1 cup of chopped pecans, 1/2 cup of chopped bacon (cooked and crumbled), and 1/4 cup of mini chocolate chips. Mix until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
Pour the filling into the prepared crust. Place the pie on a baking sheet (to catch any drips) and bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is set. Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for at least 1 hour before slicing. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream and watch the three little pigs go wild for this pecan perfection!
