Take note
Remember to double-check all ingredients to ensure they are vegan-friendly. Also, be cautious when working with hot surfaces and sharp utensils.
Collect all the necessary ingredients for your vegan brownies. You will need 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of cocoa powder, 1 cup of sugar, 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 cup of vegetable oil, 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1/2 cup of dairy-free chocolate chips.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan with vegan butter or cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
In a separate bowl, mix together the vegetable oil, unsweetened applesauce, and vanilla extract until thoroughly combined.
Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir until the batter is smooth and no lumps remain.
Fold in the dairy-free chocolate chips into the brownie batter, distributing them evenly.
Transfer the batter to the greased baking pan and spread it out evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake!
Remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan for around 10 minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares. Serve and enjoy!
