Take note
Handle the oven and sharp tools with care, and make sure to keep an eye on these crackers as they bake to avoid burning.
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 and 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder. Give them a whisk to make sure everything is well mixed.
Grate or finely shred 1 cup of your favorite cheese. You can use cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix of different cheeses for extra flavor. Add the cheese to the bowl and mix it into the dry ingredients evenly.
Melt 1/4 cup of butter and let it cool slightly. Then, pour in 1/4 cup of milk and the melted butter into the mixing bowl. Mix everything together until the dough comes together and forms a ball.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/8 inch thickness. Use your favorite cookie cutter to cut out cracker shapes. Place the cut-out crackers onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Pop the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crackers turn golden brown and crispy. Keep a close eye on them to prevent over-browning!
Once baked to perfection, let the cheese crackers cool on a wire rack. Resist the temptation to devour them right away! Once cooled, store them in an airtight container and enjoy whenever you need a cheesy snack.
