Bring back prehistoric vibes with our delicious Stone Age Stonefruit Pies! A blast from the past that will sweeten your taste buds.
Take note
Please be careful when handling sharp tools and hot ovens. Remember, safety is always 'pre-historic'!
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a pie dish with butter or non-stick spray and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of almond flour, 1/4 cup of coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of honey, and a pinch of salt. Mix until the dough comes together. Press the dough evenly into the greased pie dish, making sure to create a thick crust along the edges.
Take your favorite stonefruits (such as peaches, plums, or cherries) and remove the pits. Slice the fruits and place them in a bowl. Add 1/4 cup of honey, 1 tablespoon of arrowroot starch (or cornstarch), and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Mix until the fruits are coated.
Pour the stonefruit mixture into the prepared crust, spreading it evenly. You can create a decorative pattern if you're feeling fancy!
Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbling. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve warm and enjoy the sweet taste of the Stone Age!
