Transform your Peking Duck into a masterpiece with our mouthwatering glaze recipe. Add a glossy, sticky glaze that brings out the best flavors!
Take note
Handle the glaze with caution as it can get very hot. Make sure to follow the cooking instructions for the Peking Duck before applying the glaze.
In a small saucepan, combine the following ingredients: 1/4 cup of hoisin sauce, 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of grated ginger, and 1 garlic clove (minced). Stir well to combine.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the glaze mixture to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze thickens slightly.
Once the Peking Duck is cooked according to its recipe, remove it from the oven and brush a generous amount of the glaze all over the skin. Make sure to coat the duck evenly to achieve a deliciously sticky finish.
Preheat your broiler to high. Place the glazed duck back in the oven under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the skin becomes crispy and caramelized. Keep a close eye on it to avoid burning.
Remove the duck from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into succulent pieces. Serve with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!
